California White Sage Smudge Sticks 4"

Perfect for your smudging needs. Salvia Apiana or California White Sage has been used for millenia by Indigenous people and is considered to be one of the Four sacred medicines of the Anishinaabe peoples. This herb is commonly used in ceremony to purify the air and to help lift one's spirits to push away negative energies.

PREPARATIONS: Keep dry. Store in an airtight container in a dry cupboard away from light. Will keep for many years. Please use with caution. Use a fire safe vessel, such as an Abalone Shell to hold the leaves when lighting.

PRECAUTIONS & CONTRAINDICATIONS:  

• Use at your own risk.  
• If Sage is used for purposes outside that of a spice, it should not be used by women who are pregnant or breastfeeding because of its emmenagogue (stimulates or increases menstrual flow) and abortifacient (may induce abortion) effect. Do not use during lactation due to the possibility of reduced milk flow.
